![]() Sorry I can't better answer your question, but I'm afraid I've never even heard of those games, however, seeing as how no one else has given you a reply, I thought I'd post a comment until someone else with a better answer comes along.Īs stated, I'm not familiar with those other games, but I've owned MC for several years and though I go long stretches without playing, I love the game and it's concept. I'm also not entirely sure which of the clone games he's playing. He's already built several castles and a giant hotel lighted with lava, I just think there's not a lot of redstone laying around. Granted I've only played a little bit and watched some videos, but the look and the mechanics of those games were pretty much identical. However, he sometimes complains his classmates can do things he can't, build with redstone and whatnot, and apparently his programming club is using the game for some purpose too? I'm wondering about how educational these different games are and if it's worth spending the money if the creative capabilities are the same. I'd thought these were shitty fake knockoffs and it would be better to just let him buy the real game but after reading reviews it seems they're decent games in their own right. My 7 year old nephew loves talking about it and plays a lot on an iPad, but I found that he only plays the free derivative games he downloaded himself because they looked similar.
